SIMPLE AND COMPLEX SENTENCES

1.       Simple sentence cows graze in groves on grass which grows in grooves. a sentence is a group of words that contains a subject and predicate, and makes complete sense by itself. the subject refers to what or whom we are talking about in the sentence. the predicate tells us more about the subject, the predicate contains the verb. a sentence must contain a subject and a verb. 2.       Complex sentence Complex sentence used to express complex ideas by Showing how ideas and or events are related to each other; Providing extra information about certain words or phrases. A complex sentence consists of a main clause and one or more subordinate clauses. e.g: When he killed the dragon, the knight felt strangely sad , because it had been a mighty beast.
